Features without an account
Prayers, schedule rules, prayer times, "My list", reminders, the dhikr counter and your reading history are stored only on your device. Your location is used only on the device to calculate prayer times and is never sent to our server. Content updates are downloaded without identifying you.
Data processed for hatim groups
When you start using hatim groups an anonymous account is created on your device and the server processes: your display name (optional), your group memberships and role, the portions you take and the counts you report, group names, intentions and announcements, reports and blocks, a one-way hash of your device credential, your notification token (for push) and, if you link one, your Apple or Google account id. Request logs (IP address, time) are kept for a limited period for security.
Purposes and legal basis
The data is used to run hatim groups (sharing portions, adding up counts, reminders and notifications), to prevent abuse and to meet legal obligations, based on your consent, the performance of the service you requested and legal obligations.
Transfers
Push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and the Apple Push Notification service; only the notification token and text are sent to them. When you link Apple or Google, that provider verifies your identity. These services may be located abroad. Data is not shared with other third parties and is never used for advertising or profiling.
Retention
Data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, your display name, credentials, notification tokens and linked account ids are deleted and portions you took but did not finish are released. To keep groups consistent, portions you finished and counts you reported remain anonymously in the totals as "Deleted user".
Deleting your account
Delete your account at any time in the app under Hatim > My account > "Delete my account". If you cannot access the app, request deletion at [CONTACT E-MAIL — fill in from the admin panel].
Your rights
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to its processing, and ask about recipients. Contact [CONTACT E-MAIL — fill in from the admin panel]. You can withdraw your consent by deleting your account.
Children
Hatim groups are not intended for children under 13.
